The Clark Rubber logo and branding colour is known for its bold mix of primary colours.
Sign and Fitouts were engaged by Clark Rubber in Heidelberg West to create a Custom 3D Shop Front Sign for their Heidelberg West based shop in a busy shopping centre.
As always, when dealing with an established brand, colour matching the original palette to either vinyl colour charts or paint colours can prove to be a challenge. We used the Pantone Matching System (PMS) to recreate the original colours as closely as possible. The final product consisted of various layers of acrylic panels painted different colours and coloured vinyl layered onto one another.
The most challenging part was the solid white aluminium panel cladding on the exterior. We were not able to spray paint inside the shopping centre, nor use a roller painter to change the colour of the aluminium. Our only option was to demolish all of the white cladding and redo it in yellow.

Bed Shed, purveyors of bedding and bedroom furniture located within the Northfield Homemaker Centre in Heidelberg West, approached our signage experts to help with their branding.
They had initially planned to paint the building entirely in purple, with white 3D Letters announcing their brand name. We were able to offer a full package consisting of painting, letter fabrication and installation!

The Peaky Blinders Barbershop in St. Kilda came to Sign and Fitouts seeking a Custom 3D Illuminated Shop Sign that would create an inviting, comfortable environment for their clientele. We decided on a backlit Illuminated 3D Sign that would capture the inimitable spirit of the shop’s namesake.
For this project, we used PVC Foamex, a versatile, rigid material that is easy to cut and shape. We grooved interconnected channels in the back of the sign, where we placed LED lights. Then, we mounted a CNC cut 6 mm black acrylic sign on top of the Foamex. This created a backlit ‘halo’ effect that exudes a gentle warmth.

Sign and Fitouts received an order requesting a custom sign featuring push through letters for iconic Aussie brand Virgin Australia.
In instances when a client requires us to produce a sign from an existing logo, matching the colour of the sign to the original brand colour is a crucial part of the process. First, we used a computer-controlled cutting machine called a CNC router to cut the letters and groove the aluminium composite panel. The CNC router is an important tool for fabricating extremely accurate designs and letters from a wide range of materials. Then, we wrapped the panel with printed, laminated vinyl coloured in the vibrant Virgin red. Finally, the opal acrylic 3D letters were pushed through to create a protrusive effect that adds depth and dimension.

Shiners Carwash came to Sign and Fitouts seeking restoration for their renowned 3D illuminated Sign. The much-loved bold blue letters had lost their shine over the years.
Initially, Shiners sought our opinion on whether brand new Signage was the best way forward. Wanting the most cost-effective solution for our client, we conducted a thorough inspection of the original sign to determine whether refurbishment was an option. Despite 20 years of wear and tear, the old sign still had potential. We presented both options to our client; refurbishing the existing sign was a far more economical option than creating brand new signage.
We pulled the 3D Letters down and brought them back to life in our Heidelberg West workshop. After a coat of paint, some retouching and a brand-new set of LED lights and bases, Shiners is once again a beacon in Melbourne.

Quality Fresh Meats in Craigieburn Central approached Sign and Fitouts seeking an eye-catching, bold design that’ll stand out in a busy shopping centre.
We suggested a 3D Illuminated Sign; a foolproof way to stand out from the crowd. The process proved challenging, but the results are outstanding!
Working within the guidelines of a bureaucratic shopping centre can be a headache. The job can only be completed after working hours and requires significant and comprehensive documents to ensure all administrative hurdles are satisfied. Though this process may seem daunting for other signage companies, at Sign and Fitouts we like a challenge!

Our client, Gloryland Early Learning in Mitcham, is a thriving childcare centre that underwent a significant expansion in 2020.
They needed help elevating their signage and approached Sign and Fitouts to create a 3D sign. The acrylic sign was carefully crafted in our workshop.
For this business, the logo was initially created using a combination of 5 Pantone colours. Finding the right Dulux paint to reproduce the original colour as precisely as possible presented a challenge. However, we utilised the Pantone Matching System (PMS) to find the right colour for the 3D letters and, as you can see, the final result stayed true to the original Gloryland vision. We pre-drilled the wall using a template to help make the installation of the large, painted 3D letters as easy as possible. This was a creative way to help make the large installation hassle-free.

How to make a custom stand for your brand display? You need a drawing or reverse engineering. Not easy. You should have a deep knowledge of materials, manufacturing methods, right tools and creativity.
Sign and Fitouts is a quality signage company in Melbourne. We are signage manufacturer and accept signage design, custom signs, custom stands and custom brand display jobs. We helped many shopfitters and design companies in the past to fabricate and deliver quality jobs to their clients.
We got an order to create a custom stand from Ted Baker. We had an image of end product and some dimensions. First we redraw the parts and make the file ready to cut with our CNC Router which we use it for custom business signs, custom stands and custom brand display. When you need to put your custom stand in a showroom, exhibition or shopping centre, stability and finishing is very important.
When you are choosing materials for this type of stands, be careful. All materials should match. If you choose MDF which we did 18 mm for structure and 9 mm for baskets, you must choose suitable paint and painting method for a good finishing. Anyway, we designed it very accurate and it made the nice finishing easier. We fabricate the structure, with special fixtures, don’t forget fine sand and 2 part under coat. We assembled the baskets with MDF glue and hidden nails for extra strength. The rest is easy. Just spray painting as final coat. At the end we applied printed TED BAKER canvas on top of the stand.

How to get more impact on your shop signage? Easy. We got an order for shop sign in Northcote, Melbourne.
Each sign impacts a unique group of visitors. Shop front signage impact is more on pedestrian on opposite footpath and all motorists. For attracting people passing the shop window we need more, pedestrian can not see the shop front from that angle. We used window sign and under awning double sided light box sign to bring attention to the shop. You can not miss a light box sign when you are looking forward. Even in darker hours, illuminated signs have more impact and its visible from both directions of footpath.
We usually use only branding on this type of signs. The message should be delivered in less than 5 seconds, same as shop front signage. Now we attract people to our shop window and it is time to get them more information and maybe some advertising about the business or products.
Images and words are both helpful, some people attract with images and some like to read, then we should consider both to design a window sign or window graphic.

We got an order to install a window signs and shop sign for Little Peeps in Bentleigh, Melbourne.
This window signs should apply from inside. How to install window signs from inside? Easy.
We printed the artwork with our HP Latex printer in reverse on a clear vinyl and laminated with white back self-adhesive vinyl. Just make sure to use white back clear adhesive, not block out, and put black trim marks or trim lines on printed clear vinyl.
In this case, you may see through the white vinyl or use a light table to trim your artwork to size. The rest is easy. Clean the window, peel backing paper and use wet application technique to apply vinyls.

How to install heavy 3D sign? We used CNC Router to create a 3D sign for Pagla restaurant shop sign in Carlton Melbourne.
This acrylic sign or 3D letter sign was cut out from 20 mm acrylic sheet in one piece. It means the sign is very heavy. To solve this problem we designed back pins for more stability. For installation we needed a template for these pins. This template has the whole map of the back pins of the sign and may create from a cheap material like 3 mm MDF, a second hand AC Panel, vinyl or even a piece of paper. The most important thing is back pin positions should match the template. The rest is easy. We put the template on shop front, drilled the holes and installed our heavy sign with pins and glue as a business sign for Pagla restaurant in Carlton.
We cut gold Avery vinyl in reverse to apply Pagla’s window sign from inside. You may use any coloured vinyl with clear or transparent adhesive for this type of jobs. When you need to apply vinyl from inside as a window decal, window graphics or cut out letters, be sure the window is not tinted otherwise your colour and artwork looks different.
