We got an order to create a custom stand from Ted Baker. We had an image of end product and some dimensions. First we redraw the parts and make the file ready to cut with our CNC Router which we use it for custom business signs, custom stands and custom brand display. When you need to put your custom stand in a showroom, exhibition or shopping centre, stability and finishing is very important.

Materials and Finishing

When you are choosing materials for this type of stands, be careful. All materials should match. If you choose MDF which we did 18 mm for structure and 9 mm for baskets, you must choose suitable paint and painting method for a good finishing. Anyway, we designed it very accurate and it made the nice finishing easier. We fabricate the structure, with special fixtures, don’t forget fine sand and 2 part under coat. We assembled the baskets with MDF glue and hidden nails for extra strength. The rest is easy. Just spray painting as final coat. At the end we applied printed TED BAKER canvas on top of the stand.

The result was amazing. Branded custom stand ready to put the artificial fruit products in showrooms or exhibitions.

Effective shop signage

Each sign impacts a unique group of visitors. Shop front signage impact is more on pedestrian on opposite footpath and all motorists. For attracting people passing the shop window we need more, pedestrian can not see the shop front from that angle. We printed the artwork with our HP Latex printer in reverse on a clear vinyl and laminated with white back self-adhesive vinyl. Just make sure to use white back clear adhesive, not block out, and put black trim marks or trim lines on printed clear vinyl.

In this case, you may see through the white vinyl or use a light table to trim your artwork to size. The rest is easy. Clean the window, peel backing paper and use wet application technique to apply vinyls.

For their shop sign we printed a polymeric vinyl and laminated it. The fascia was new and clean aluminum composite panel. An Italian Restaurant needed a viable sign to attract pedestrians to their restaurant at Southgate Avenue, Southbank, Melbourne.

The challenge was the fact that no A-frame or A-board sign is allowed at Southgate Avenue. As a professional sign maker in Melbourne with a wide range of signage solutions, Sign & Fitouts came up with a unique yet practical way to turn a bicycle into a mobile signage for the restaurant.

A little engineering and totting up was needed to make sure the bicycle could be used both as a durable, waterproof outdoor sign when parked by the restaurant and otherwise as a normal bicycle safe enough to ride.

The client was impressed by the quality of the end result. In spite of the hard, time-consuming process of shaping a piece of strong aluminium panel to match the body of the bike and then installing the panel onto it then put cut out vinyl on top, the final result was eye-catching and manifested a successful signage solution.

Client was seeking a rebranding and a new logo, as well as new business signs, and so they asked Sign & Fitouts for a long fascia vinyl sign that would shout their name at pedestrians. Our creative graphic design team came up with a new idea for their logo and brand theme colour.

Our design team used orange aluminium composite (AC) panels to make a huge sign and then applied white vinyl stickers, cut by our professional Roland vinyl cutter, for their name and business identification sign.

Neon glass tube lighting is a quite popular way of advertising these days. It turned heads back in the ‘10s and ‘20s when it was only emerging. Imagine—at night—a shining, colourful piece of text on a shop front or in the air at a time when all people saw was normal, dull unilluminated shop signage that didn’t have anything special to them. Those people were truly amazed.

Neon signs are a very attractive way of introducing a business, especially those that need to look attractive, such as restaurants, cafes, clubs, pizza shops and burger shops. They come in various colours, can be shaped into almost any form and have a really long lifespan. They’re also visible both at day and at night. Technically speaking, neon lights are hollow glass tubes with purified neon gas in them and, in some cases, thin layers of phosphorescent powder coatings applied to their inner walls. The neon is ionized using high-voltage from both ends of the glass tube, hence the emitted light.

However, it should also be noted that glass neon lights aren’t always so fun and games, especially when used as a whole array of signage. LED light strips are designed to eliminate the shortcomings of neon signs. Using these strips, you can create LED signs in any colour spectrum. They come, contrary to neon signs, in plastic tubes, and so they’re flexible; you can easily bend them into your desired shape in no time, with no need for expert intervention.

LED ‘neon’ lights are ultra-light and, at the same time, consume a significantly lower amount of energy as compared to traditional neon lights (approximately ⅒). Over and above that, they don’t get hot and are waterproof, which makes for a much more durable, less dangerous illuminated sign.

Furthermore, the outer jacket of an LED neon light is made of two PVC layers, intended to both optically enhance the colour of the LED lamps and increase light transmission efficiency.

An LED neon light will have negligible maintenance costs and can serve for an unbelievable span of three times longer than that of a traditional neon light, and that is saying something.
